One of the oddities of our electoral system is that you if you live in the constituency, ward or division in which you are standing you can vote for yourself.
Glancing at the Statement of Persons Nominated, I think I might be the only person who actually lives and works in the Feniton and Honiton division.
In fairness, a couple of the candidates, including our current DCC councillor Phil Twiss, do live just outside Honiton but quite surprised to see Labour putting up someone from Exeter and it will be interesting to see how the independent candidate from Ottery gets on.
By the way, don’t be fooled by the fact that the ballot paper will say “Address in East Devon”. I do live and work in central Honiton.
